Ruth Ellene Dabbs Burroughs Regen, 89 years of age died March 29, 2015. Preceded in death by her father, John Wilson Thomas Dabbs, MD, mother, Ruth Fuqua Dabbs, brother, John W. T. Dabbs, Jr., sister Anne Elizabeth Dabbs Stockell, first husband Judson Bayne Burroughs. Survived by husband, Albert L. Regen, son, Judson B. Burroughs, Jr., daughter, Margaret (Peggy) Ruth Burroughs Williams, son, John D. Burroughs, granddaughters Katelyn B. Williams and Ashley T. Williams, step daughters Patricia (David) Ingram, Sharon Regen, step grandchildren Jan (Adam) Masterson, Steve Ingram, nieces and nephews.

Burroughs, Jr., daughter, Margaret (Peggy) Ruth Burroughs Williams, son, John D. Burroughs, granddaughters Katelyn B. Williams and Ashley T. Williams, step daughters Patricia (David) Ingram, Sharon Regen, step grandchildren Jan (Adam) Masterson, Steve Ingram, nieces and nephews.

After graduating from Donelson High School, Ruth attended Huntingdon College and earned her B.S. Degree from Peabody College. Ruth worked for the Dialysis Clinic, Inc. for 20 years and after retiring volunteered with the Kidney Foundation. As a long time member of Belmont United Methodist Church, Ruth loved her Sunday School class; the Harbison Fellowship class. She loved her neighbors and neighborhood in Oak Hill and was a member of the Oak Valley Garden Club for over 25 years. For the last 8 years, Ruth and Al have enjoyed new friendships living at the Heritage.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:30 am at Belmont United Methodist Church located at 21st and Acklen Aves., Nashville, TN. Officiating will be Bishop Joe Pennel and the Reverend Linda Johnson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Harbison Fellowship Sunday School class discretionary fund, or to Guardian Hospice in Franklin, TN.
